Aeromedevac Achieves NAAMTA Medical Transport Accreditation

Aeromedevac Air Ambulance has been awarded medical transport accreditation by National Accreditation Alliance of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA). Following a comprehensive audit by NAAMTA of administrative processes and policies, medical practices, and facilities, Aeromedevac achieved accreditation for their fixed wing program. Accreditation verifies that an organization meets or exceeds minimum standards of quality.

Medical Transport AccreditationThe NAAMTA accreditation program is founded upon standards that focus on quality patient care and safety, while providing service-based consultative and educational processes, and established best practices. NAAMTA accreditation is recognized as a symbol of quality by industry peers, third-party payers, medical organizations, liability insurance companies, state and federal agencies and by the public.

The NAAMTA Accreditation Standards identify criteria in all aspects of medical transport, including business policies, licenses, education, skills maintenance, communication, safety, etc.

Through the accreditation process, Aeromedevac Air Ambulance demonstrated compliance to each of the defined standards and excelled in identifying best practice procedures. NAAMTA verified their compliance through employee interviews, on-site evaluations, and process reviews, all of which were conducted using ISO 9001:2015 auditing guidelines.

NAAMTA is an accreditation standard-bearer for the medical transport industry, offering procedures that include guidelines for developing a system focused on transport safety, patient care, quality management, and continuous improvement. NAAMTA is globally recognized for its ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification and the implementation of quality practices in their accreditation program. NAAMTA’s certified quality management system is audited annually by PRI Registrar: an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board-approved Registrar. PRI is accredited to certify organizations to a variety of management systems including ISO 9001.

NAAMTA has successfully made great strides in identifying key best practices to improve the standard of performance among EMS providers at national and global levels. Through a dynamic approach to auditing and a vast array of web-based reporting and learning tools for members. NAAMTA distinguishes itself as an accreditation source interested in providing services to their members and work toward the improvement of medical transportation practices.
